Child & Adolescent Day Treatment Services
Progressive Care Services, Inc. offers a structured Day Treatment program that builds on the strengths and addresses the identified functional problems associated with the complex conditions of each individual child or adolescent and family. These interventions are designed to support symptom reduction and/or sustain symptom stability at lowest possible levels, increase the individual’s ability to cope and relate to others, support and sustain recovery, and enhance the child’s capacity to function in an inclusive setting or to be maintained in community based services.
Individual Outpatient Therapy
Outpatient Therapy utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing as the Evidence Based Practices used to guide treatment that will meet the clinical needs of the consumers and families served. Outpatient therapy evaluates and implements treatment that will address significant behavioral and psychological symptoms. A comprehensive clinical assessment is an intensive biopsycho-social evaluation of the consumer’s mental health status, developmental disabilities/mental retardation and/or substance abuse history. The comprehensive clinical assessment is utilized as a tool to guide and direct the therapeutic process.
Family Therapy
Family Therapy utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing as the Evidence Based Practices used to guide treatment that will meet the clinical needs of the consumers and families served. Family therapy is a shift away from focusing on the faults of the individual problem to include and treat wider systemic family issues. Family therapy examines patterns of interaction and social development. Family therapy evaluates and implements treatment that will address significant social and relationship dysfunction.
Medication Management
Medication Management is a psychiatric service that includes consultation, referral, medication prescription/monitoring and therapy. Psychiatric evaluation is provided as a support to medication management when the consumer’s clinical treatment requires further diagnosis. Medication Management is utilized to support and increase stabilization of the consumer’s therapeutic needs. Medication Management supports a holistic treatment framework that will incorporate medication and therapy in consumer’s therapeutic treatment plans.
